The Anaheim Ducks were dominant at both ends of the ice in a 5-1 road victory versus Buffalo onn Monday. The Ducks were locked in a tight contest with a 2-0 lead after two periods before a three goal third period explosion put this in the win column as the team improved to 2-1 in the early going. Anaheim put plenty of rubber on net and it paid off with William Karlsson tallying his first two career goals while Matt Beleskey, Corey Perry and Ryan Kessler also found the back of the net. Frederik Andersen almost had the night off with a single goal allowed on a mere eleven shots. The Sabres received a goal from Tyler Ennis with Michal Neuvirth was charged with all five goals on 44 shots.

As a Philadelphia Flyers fan I have come to expect the unexpected as in no deficit is too big and no lead is safe. It was the latter in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to Montreal as the Flyers entered the final 20 minutes with a 3-0 lead only to see the Canadiens explode for three goals before PA Parenteau won it in the shootout. Wayne Simmons paced the Philadelphia offense with a pair of tallies with Michael Raffl also lighting the lamp. Ray Emery absorbed the loss despite a 35 stop performance with the win going to Carey Price who recorded 29 stops. Philadelphia had dominated the Canadiens at home with ten consecutive victories although they did pick up a point with two points looking like a sure thing after two periods.
Anaheim is 1-4 in the last five versus the Metropolitan Division while the under has gone 6-1 in their last seven with zero days rest. Philadelphia is 0-4 in the last four with the over going 5-1-1 in the past seven home contests. In head to head contests the under is 5-0 in the last five in Philadelphia with the road team going 5-2 in the last seven while the Ducks are 5-1 in the past six meetings.
Philadelphia is struggling to kick off the season and although it's early they don't want to slump to start 2014. I am thinking the Ducks will be a handful and that some goals will be score
