The New Jersey Devils put their perfect record on the line when they head south to take the ice with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The New Jersey Devils are looking to keep the offense clicking after picking up a 5-1 road victory over Florida on Saturday to improve to 3-0. A four goal burst in the opening 20 minutes gave the Devils all they needed and the defense took care of the rest. In the first period burst NJ received goals from Eric Galinas, Mike Cammallari, Martin Havlat and Damon Severson with Ryane Clowe adding a second period tally. Cory Schneider stood tall in the nets with 28 stops in the victory while Derek McKenzie scored the only Panthers goal. Roberto Luongo absorbed the loss with all five goals scored on 14 shots before Al Montoya took over between the pipes.
