The San Jose Sharks travel to PNC Arena for a Sunday evening bout with the Carolina Hurricanes.
The San Jose Sharks stay on the road to battle the Carolina Hurricanes Sunday. The Sharks are hoping their offense can get back in the groove following a 2-1 defeat at Columbus on Saturday. San Jose just couldn't solve Blue Jackets netminder Sergei Bobrovsky who showed no rust after a stay on the disabled list with a fractured finger. Bobrovsky looked like he never missed a day with an outstanding 36 stops to pick up the victory. Columbus received a first period tally from David Savard with Cam Atkinson scoring with the man advantage in the second for the game winner. Joe Pavelski lit the lamp in the second for San Jose with Antti Niemi recording 26 stops.

The Carolina Hurricanes are trying to avoid another slide when the San Jose Sharks take the ice at PNC Arena on Sunday. The Hurricanes might have been in the wrong place at the wrong time Saturday in a 2-1 defeat at Boston who are showing signs of rebounding from a poor start with their sixth win in eight contests. All the scoring happened in the first period with the respective defenses and goalies taking over the game. Patrice Bergeron and Seth Griffith provided the scoring for the Bruins while Tuukka Rask came through with 33 stops to get the win and prevent a third consecutive defeat. The Canes lone goal came off the stick of Jiri Tlusty with Cam Ward recording 23 saves as Carolina fell for the third time in four contests.
