Winnipeg Jets vs. New Jersey Devils - 11/18/14 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Winnipeg Jets hope to open their home stand on Tuesday with a victory over New Jersey. The Jets are looking to shake off a disappointing 4-43 overtime defeat at Minnesota that went through some wild momentum swings. Minnesota took a 3-0 leead in the first with the Jets tying it with a three goal third before Marco Scandella ended the drama just over a minute in to the extra session. Zach Parise scored twice in his return from a concussion with Nino Niederreiter joining him in the scoring column. Niklas Backstrom was yanked after allowing all three Winnipeg goals with Darcy Kemper picking up the win with just three saves. Evander Kane, Michael Frolik and and Andrew Ladd scored for the Jets. Ondrej Pavelec was yanked after giving up the three 1st period goals with Michael Hutchinson taking over in relief.

The Devils are 1-5 in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest and the under is 4-1-1 in Devils last 6 road games vs. a team with a losing home record while the over is 4-1 in Devils last 5 road games. For Winnipeg the Jets are 6-0 in their last 6 vs. a team with a losing record and the under is 4-0 in Jets last 4 vs. a team with a losing record while the under is 6-1 in Jets last 7 games playing on 1 days rest. Head to head the under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings and the home team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetingswhile the under is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings in Winnipeg. The trends seem to favor Winnipeg and the Jets but once I see the goalies I'll make a final pick but I lean under...
