The Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers play Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are 2-7 this month and have dropped to the complete bottom of their division. The issue for the Blue Jackets continues to be poor defense that’s allowing 3.6 goals per game on the season and nine goals in their last two games. The Columbus Blue Jackets have lost 11 of their last 12 games when allowing three or more goals, and they’ve allowed a power play goal in five of their last seven games. Curtis McElhinney has allowed 26 goals on 230 shots and Sergei Bobrovsky has given up 30 goals on 346 shots faced. Offensively, Nick Foligno leads Columbus with 10 goals, Ryan Johansen has 16 assists and Scott Hartnell has 69 shots on goal. The Blue Jackets have scored four power play goals in their last four games.

Flyers vs. Blue Jackets - 11/22/14 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Flyers have lost four straight games and are also having defensive issues. The Flyers are allowing 3.1 goals per game on the season and have allowed 15 goals in their last four games. The Philadelphia Flyers are 3-8 this season when allowing three or more goals. Of course, it doesn’t help that the Flyers power play is killing just 72.1 percent of the attempts. Steve Mason has allowed 31 goals on 359 shots and Ray Emery has given up 24 goals on 234 shots faced. Offensively, Jakub Voracek and Wayne Simmonds have combined for 14 goals, Claude Giroux has 16 assists and Mark Streit has 41 shots on goal. The Flyers have scored a pp goal in four of their last five games.

The Blue Jackets are 1-4 in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest and 1-9 in their last 10 vs. Eastern Conference. The Flyers are 5-2 in their last 7 home games and 1-5 in their last 6 vs. Eastern Conference. Blue Jackets are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings in Philadelphia and 4-0 in the last 4 meetings overall.

I don't hate paying for the high juice as you all know but the Philadelphia Flyers need this win in the worst way and almost all of their success this season has come at home. Catching the Blue Jackets on a back-to-back should result in a win. Take Philly as long as you don't mind the high number.
