The Blues and Blackhawks meet up for a grudge match in Chicago in a battle of two of the game's best teams and Central division rivals.

The Blues head into the United Center on Wednesday night looking to pull off the minor upset and take down the Blackhawks in what should be a very exciting game between two Western Conference powers. The Blues hold a three point edge on the Hawks in the division standings and both teams are among the hottest in the league right as St. Louis has won seven of 10 and the Hawks have eight of their last 10 setting up an early season show down. St. Louis has one of the league's most potent defenses and are among the league leaders in terms of record away from home so it would come as a surprise to very few to see St. Louis come away victorious here as they have the horses to go stride for stride with the Hawks and with Corey Crawford out of the Chicago lineup for a while you have to give the goaltending edge to the Blues with Jake Allen going up against Antti Raanta.
Chicago had a blip in the early going of their regular season schedule but have turned things on of late and are right back in the hunt for the Central division lead sitting with 31 points through 24 games. Chicago was ousted by the Kings on home ice in Game Seven of last year's Western Conference final and that bitterness still sits with the team and with the roster they possess they have a very realistic shot to not only get back to the West final but to surpass last season's mark and advance back to the Stanley Cup Finals. The Hawks are loaded all over the ice and are always a tough out on home ice sporting a 7-3-1 mark at the United Center this season but this St. Louis team is stacked as well and while they may not be able to score as effortlessly as the Hawks they certainly never give up and I think they can leave Chicago with two points and they're well worth the shot as a road dog.
