The Senators look to carry momentum over from last night's win over the Anaheim Ducks and notch their third win in a row in the process as they head into Montreal to face the Canadiens.

Montreal Canadiens vs. Ottawa Senators - 12/20/14 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Senators have responded well after the firing of their former head coach and now have a statement victory over the league leading Anaheim Ducks on their resume as Anaheim has now slipped in both of their Eastern Canada contests. Ottawa cannot afford to bask in their impressive win for too long though as they head into the Bell Centre to face one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference in the Montreal Canadiens who have been cruising on home ice this season with a 12-4-1 mark. Ottawa playing in a back to back will turn to Robin Lehner in this spot as he will go up against Carey Price who gives Montreal the clear goaltending advantage as he does in a lot of circumstances and is no slight to Lehner. Ottawa is 7-8-3 on the road this season and currently sit in seventh place in the Atlantic division.

The Canadiens look to shake off a tough 2-1 loss to Anaheim on Thursday night when they take on the Sens in Montreal and thanks to Tampa Bay's overtime loss to the Devils on Friday night the Habs can move into a tie for the division lead with a victory here. Montreal has stumbled a bit of late as they have dropped 6 of their last 10 contests but thanks to a hot start they remain very much in the mix in the Atlantic division though the gap is starting to shrink as other teams are pushing forward. Only three points separate first from fourth in the division and the Panthers aren't too far behind in fifth and while the gap could very well open up as the season goes along this division just seems to have that feel that things will be tight all the way through and will come down to game 82 to decide who will make the playoffs. As for tonight though I think the win against Anaheim was great for the Sens but in this spot playing on the road in a back to back against Carey Price I don't think is a recipe for success and I think Montreal takes their frustrations out early and often in this one.
