The Kings are now 17-11-6 on the year and things are looking up after their 1-3-1 road trip.

NHL News: Player News and Updates for 12/21/14

Jakub Voracek, RW, Philadelphia Flyers: The Flyers offense was, well, flying last night against the Maple Leafs at Air Canada Centre. They had big second and third periods on the way to a 7-4 victory over the home team, with Voracek accounting for four assists.
Claude Giroux also had a four-point game, tallying two goals and two helpers of his own.
The win brings the Flyers to 12-14-6 and Toronto falls to 19-11-3.

Braden Holtby, G, Washington Capitals: Holtby was hot last night against the Devils, logging his second shutout of the season on 21 saves. The result was a big 4-0 victory for the Caps, with big efforts included from Alex Ovechkin (goal) and Nicklas Backstrom (two goals; assist).
Washington is now 16-10-6 on the year and 6-0-2 in their past eight.

Kevin Klein, D, New York Rangers: The defending East champ Ranges nearly had the game slip away last night against the Hurricanes, but found a way to extend things to overtime and got the victory in the shootout.
Klein scored late in the third to even things up in the eventual 3-2 win, which extends New York’s streak to five and gives them a 16-10-4 record.
