The Chicago Blackhawks welcome the Colorado Avalanche to the Windy City for Tuesday night action.
The Colorado Avalanche begin a road trip with the first stop at the United Center to face the Blackhawks. The Avalanche ended a three game home stand with a 4-3 defeat to Columbus on Sunday where the defense and goaltending struggled throughout. David Savard scored the game winner with just over a minute remaining with Brian Dubinsky scoring twice and Ryan Johansen also lighting the lamp to help Curtis McElhinney pick up the win with a 27 save performance. The Avs received goals from Gabriel Landeskog, Jarome Iginla and Cody McLeod with Semyon Varlamov allowing all four tallies on 27 shots to absorb the loss and prevent a three game winning streak.

The Chicago Blackhawks look for another win on home ice when the Avalanche visit the United Center on Tuesday. The Blackhawks are coming off a 5-4, overtime victory versus visiting Dallas on Sunday in game they never led until the extra session. Patrick Sharp scored the game winner at 1:17 of OT and also scored the equalizer in the third. Patrick Kane, Brandon Saad and Bryan Bickell also found the back of the net with the victory going to Corey Crawford who stopped 30 shots. Erik Cole paced the Stars offense with a pair of tallies with Jamie Benn and Jordie Benn also scoring but it wasn't enough with Kari Lehtonen charged with all five goals on 38 shots as Dallas saw their four game winning streak come to an end.
The Avalanche are 0-8 in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
Under is 6-1 in Avalanche last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 3-12 in their last 15 vs. Central. For Chicago the over is 5-0 in Blackhawks last 5 vs. Western Conference and 5-0 in Blackhawks last 5 vs. Central while the Blackhawks are 14-2 in their last 16 vs. Western Conference. Head to head the road team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. I am not sure who will be in the nets but I'm leaning to the Blackhawks but the price tag is just ridiculous and there is minimal value in my view...
