The Minnesota Wild have had a disappointing season on the whole this year but can still make amends and sneak into the playoffs in the Western Conference but in order to do so they know they need to play exceptional hockey and win games against teams ahead of them in the standings. Minny has a solid roster that has underachieved in the big picture but that doesn't mean short term they can't go on a run and if they can grab a victory here and sweep Western Canada they would pull to within three points of the Flames for the second and final wild card spot in the Conference. The Wild have been sparked by the arrival of Devan Dubnyk from Arizona and the former Oilers and Coyotes goaltender has seized the opportunity already registering two shutouts with his new team and will be looking for more against Ryan Miller and a very tough Canucks team that looks to stay competitive in the Pacific.
The Canucks have had a nice season thus far but with the log jam in the Pacific division being so tight they know they need to go on a run to make sure they secure a spot and possibly avoid the Anaheim Ducks in the first round though in the Pacific it really doesn't matter as the top four or five teams could very well win the Stanley Cup. Vancouver has been decent on home ice while Minnesota has struggled on the road which makes this a relatively lopsided line considering the teams involved but with some money coming in on the visitors I think we could see the price on Vancouver come down a little bit closer to puck drop. However, I am uncertain on this one as I think the Wild have a great shot here but their road woes in general are scaring me off. I will though recommend a spot on the under as Dubnyk has been great since arriving and Miller has been solid all season and I think we get a tight low scoring game at Rogers Arena.
