February 12, 2015
We’re coming out of a light three-game schedule in the NHL, and heading into a busy nine-game set tonight. While we’re waiting on those pucks to drop, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations around the league.
Blake Comeau, LW, Pittsburgh Penguins: The Penguins are certainly glad to have Comeau back. He played his first action after a 20-game layoff last night against the Red Wings at Consol Energy Center, leading the team to a 4-1 victory with a goal and an assist. Patric Hornqvist also scored and registered a helper.
The Penguins move to 31-15-8 with that win and are within a point of division-leading New York (Isles). The Red Wings are now 31-13-9.

Vancouver blew a two-goal lead twice in this game but was able to gut out a win.
On the other side, Marian Hossa managed two goals and Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist for the Blackhawks in the loss.
Jay Beagle, RW, Washington Capitals: Last night’s late game was also an overtime affair, with the Capitals emerging victorious over the Sharks at SAP Center. Jay Beagle had two goals and an assist, while John Carlson managed a score and a helper in the 5-4 victory.
