The Detroit Red Wings look for a home win against the Washington Capitals in Sunday action.

The Detroit Red Wings return to Joe Louis Arena to take the ice with the Washington Capitals on Easter Sunday. The Red Wings have made a habit of blowing late leads with catastrophic results and did so once again against Minnesota on the road Saturday but this time they pulled out a 3-2 victory in overtime that ended a three game slide and tied the Penguins for the Eastern Conference first Wild Card. Darren Helm ended a marathon SO in round number eight with Gustav Nyquist and Riley Sheahan lighting the lamp in regulation. Jimmy Howard picked up the win with a 22 save performance with Zach Parise giving Minnesota both of their goals. Devan Dubnyk recorded 20 stops as the Wild suffered their second straight defeat.
