The Anaheim Ducks won the Pacific division running away this season as they had the largest divisional victory in hockey but yet they somehow continue to get overlooked a potential Cup winner and I am guilty of it myself. The Ducks are a good team no question and have some of the game's top players, namely in the form of Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, but there is something about this group I just don't see and while the Jets have yet to gain a victory they were certainly in the driver's seat in both of their series opening losses. Anaheim escaped game one after scoring in the third period and adding an empty netter and then in game two they were down to their final three minutes before netting the tying marker and then scored a fluke goal with 30 seconds remaining to get their second win of the series heading back to Winnipeg.
The Jets haven't been in the playoffs since 1996 and haven't won a playoff game in their franchise's history (accepting the Atlanta Thrashers, not the Coyotes) and while they came incredibly close in Anaheim they'll have to settle for a win at home. The crowd in Winnipeg is going to be absolutely rocking as they are without question one of the best fan bases in the NHL and due to the lay out and size of their arena there is a clear cut home ice edge that is rivaled by few across the league and I think the Jets will use the energy in the building to their advantage. I have been very impressed with how well the Jets have played in this series and not only do I think they get the win here but they have a great shot at winning this series still but it all starts one game at a time.
