Vancouver Canucks (49-31-5) at Calgary Flames (47-31-7)

NHL Hockey: Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 10:00 pm (Scotiabank Saddledome)

The Line: Calgary Flames -115 / Vancouver Canucks +104 --- Over/Under: 5 See the Latest Odds

The Scotiabank Saddledome and the Calgary Flames host the Vancouver Canucks in game four.

In a series that many see as one of the closer in the postseason the Vancouver Canucks find themselves down 2-1 in the series following a 4-2 loss at Calgary on Sunday night. This series was a bit chippy in game number two but not so much in game number three after 166 penalty minutes were assessed. Perhaps the Canucks needed more rough play because they emerged with the win in game two. The Canucks never got their offense untracked with Jannik Hansen and Shawn Matthias providing the offense while Eddie Lack absorbed the defeat with a 23 stop effort. Vancouver has now dropped seven of their last eight postseason road contests and have not won a series since 2011.

Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks - 4/21/15 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Calgary Flames stole home ice with their split at Vancouver and maintained it with their victory at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Sunday night. The Flames had their way at both ends of the ice in the 4-2 win with a pair of tallies in the first and third periods. Sam Bennett’s first career goal in the third gave the Flames a 3-1 lead and was the eventual game winner. TJ Brodie tallied his first career postseason goal while Sean Monahan and Brandon Bollig also found the back of the net. Jonas Hiller made all the support stand up with both goals scored on 25 shots to get the victory. The obvious goal is to maintain the home ice advantage with another win on home ice Tuesday night which will be just their second home game since 2009.

The over  is 3-0-1 in Canucks last 4 Tuesday games while Vancouver are 5-1 in their last 6 Tuesday games and 3-13 in their last 16 Conference Quarterfinals games. The under is 5-0 in Flames last 5 Tuesday games with the Flames going 4-1 in their last 5 home games while the under is 4-1-1 in Flames last 6 vs. Pacific. Head to head the Canucks are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings and the over is 11-3-3 in the last 17 meetings in Calgary while the under is 3-1-2 in the last 6 meetings. I’m waiting for goalie confirmation so please check back…
