The Chicago Blackhawks head to the Bridgestone Arena looking to close out their series with the Nashville Predators.
The Chicago Blackhawks can eliminate the Nashville Predators with a win at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday night. The Blackhawks put themselves in the driver’s seat after Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over the Predators in triple overtime at home. This looked like it might be a scorefest with each team lighting the lamp in the first. Brent Seabrook ended the longest game in the postseason with his slap shot inside the blue line just a minute in to the third OT. Brandon Saad erased a 2-1 deficit with under nine minutes left in regulation with Antoine Vermette scoring in the first while Scott Darling posted 50 saves to record the victory.

The Nashville Predators have their backs against the wall after Tuesday’s marathon triple overtime defeat at the United Center. With just under three minutes left in the second James Neal once again gave Nashville the lead when he scored off a Chicago turnover. Pekka Rinne was saddled with the loss despite a 45 save effort.

The Blackhawks are 5-1 in the last 6 meetings and the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings with the home team going 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
