The Montreal Canadiens look to even their series with Tampa Bay at the Bell Centre on Sunday evening. The Canadiens ousted the Lightning in four straight in last season’s postseason but have now dropped six in a row after Friday’s 2-1, overtime defeat. The offense struggled to score although they fired 44 shots on goal with Max Pacioretty netting the lone goal with just 5:13 remaining in regulation on a wrister that gave the Habs new life until the Lightning sent the Bell Centre crowd home unhappy with just over two minutes in to the second OT with Nikita Kucherov lighting the lamp to make a loser out of Carey Price and his 33 stops.

Much has been made over Tampa Bay’s 5-0 sweep of the Montreal Canadiens during the regular season. However as we all know, what happens during the year and what happens in the playoffs are generally unrelated. Nothing changed in game one with the Lightning pulling out a 2-1, double OT thriller as they continued to beat the Canadiens. This game belonged to Ben Bishop who made 43 stops to pick up the victory with a few being on the spectacular side with Lady Luck saving him as well when David Desharnais hit the crossbar early in the first. Tyler Johnson gave TB a 1-0 lead at 2:13 of the third with Nikita Kucherov winning it just 2:06 in to the second OT.
The under is 5-0-1 in Lightning last 6 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game and is 5-0-1 in Lightning last 6 games following a win while going 5-0 in Lightning last 5 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game. The Canadiens are 4-0 in their last 4 Sunday games and the under is 7-1-6 in Canadiens last 14 Sunday games while Montreal are 1-5 in their last 6 vs. a team with a winning % above .600. The Lightning are 4-0 in the last 4 meetings in Montreal and are 6-0 in the last 6 meetings while the road team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. Waiting for lines but I'm look at the total going under but please check back...
