The Chicago Blackhawks look to close out their series with the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.

The Minnesota Wild had no success at the United Center against the Chicago Blackhawks as they lost both games there to begin the Western Conference semifinals in an 0-2 hole. Make that an 0-3 hole after the Wild couldn’t get it done in a 1-0 to Chicago at the Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday as the team faces elimination in game number four on home ice. The Wild had won five straight game three’s but were unable to solve Corey Crawford despite a 30 shot effort. Devan Dubnyk who many thought was wearing down gave his team a great chance to win with a 21 stop performance but Minnesota could not support him at the offensive end and now face a do or die scenario Thursday night.

Minnesota Wild vs. Chicago Blackhawks - 5/7/15 NHL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Blackhawks moved a step closer to the Western Conference finals with a 1-0 victory at the Xcel Energy Center to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. The Blackhawks string of seven consecutive defeats in game three ended as the Wild can be eliminated Thursday night. While many thought this might be the game Minnesota steals to get back in the series Hawks netminder Corey Crawford had other ideas with a solid 30 save performance to get the win and record his 4th career postseason shutout. Patrick Kane scored in the opening period with just under six minutes remaining and Crawford and the defense made it stand up. This was the 4th consecutive contest where Kane found the back of the net.

The Blackhawks are 4-0 in their last 4 overall and  are 5-0 in their last 5 Conference Semifinals games while going  4-0 in their last 4 vs. Western Conference. The under is 1-0-3 in Wild last 4 games playing on 1 days rest with the over going  2-0-2 in Wild last 4 Thursday games and  3-0-2 in Wild last 5 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game. Chicago are 8-2 in the last 10 meetings while the under is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings with the home team going 20-8 in the last 28 meetings. I don’t know what Minnesota is going to do in game four to turn the tide and until I see a line I’ll lean Chicago but please check back…
