Hang in there, hockey fans. The 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs will be back in action tomorrow afternoon, when the conference finals officially begin. While we’re waiting, let’s check out some of the notable players and situations out there right now.

We’ve got a bit of an update on the status of Islanders goalie Michal Neuvirth, but there’s not much to talk about there.
The team reportedly hasn’t contacted him about a new contract, which leads some to believe he’s probably going to seek out a new deal elsewhere as a starter before he considers returning to the Isles as a backup again. We’ll find out when free agency gets a little closer.

Good news for the Ducks this morning. Right winger Corey Perry has been saddled with a minor injury to his right knee, but he should be good to go for Sunday’s Game 1 opener of the Western Conference Finals against the Blackhawks.
Perry hurt his knee in Game 5 against Calgary, but it looks like the rest has done him some good.

On the other side of the injury spectrum, we have the Canadiens’ Nathan Beaulieu. During Game 3 against Ottawa, he suffered a fractured sternum, the team announced yesterday.
Beaulieu missed out on seven games due to the injury, but was able to play a little bit against the Lightning. It’s not known yet whether or not he’ll need corrective surgery this off-season, but it’s definitely a possibility.

In other injury news, down in Tampa Bay Ryan Callahan was back on the ice at practice yesterday.
Callahan is coming off an emergency appendectomy and had a very quick recovery time. He missed out on Game 6 against Montreal but could be very close to returning to game action already. We’ll call him questionable for the time being, however.

NHL Daily Schedule: Here’s a look at the upcoming games on the NHL schedule, including the start times and TV networks where you can catch each matchup.
