The Chicago Blackhawks went into game one as a potential value play as the Ducks hadn't really seen much competition up until this series but as Hawks forward Patrick Kane said after the game the Ducks are by far the best team they have played in these playoffs and they will have to bring their A-game if they're going to win the series. Chicago looked ordinary in game one while the Ducks looked sensational and really made a statement that they are for real but you can't start to dissect a series until you lose a game on home ice and even if the Hawks lose here they will have a grace period until they drop a game at the United Center. The Hawks are a crazy good team that knows how to win and even if they come up short against the Ducks in game two they should put forth a much better effort than they did on the weekend.
The Ducks continue to impress and can head to Chicago with a 2-0 series lead if they play like they did in the series opener but they know the Hawks will be coming hard and they'll have to step up even more in preparation for the response. Anaheim has done a great job on home ice in adjusting their game plan to their opponent's weaknesses and they utilize the last change very well even though Bruce Boudreau doesn't like match ups as much as other head coaches but out coaching Joel Quenneville across a seven game series is very hard to do. Anaheim hasn't lost at home in these playoffs yet but it happens tonight as the Hawks rebound and knot things up at a game apiece.
