For the last couple of games, the Eastern Conference Finals in these 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs has been a high-scoring, high-octane affair. We’ll have to wait until tonight to see if that trend holds; in the meantime let’s check out today’s headlines and see who’s in the news.
Frederik Andersen, G, Anaheim Ducks: The Ducks were able to hold off the Blackhawks last night in another very close game, taking a 2-1 series lead in the process.
Andersen made 27 saves on 28 shots, while Ryan Getzlaf assisted on both goals in the 2-1 Ducks win. Simon Despres scored the eventual game-winner at the 19:05 mark in the second period.
Anaheim killed off five power plays in the game.
This victory comes a couple of days after a triple-overtime loss to Chicago at home, so the Ducks have regained the momentum along with the series control.
Game 4 in what’s become a very compelling Western Conference Finals is tomorrow at United Center.

The Flyers did some inking yesterday, singing right winger Aaron Palushaj to a deal.
Palushaj last played in the NHL during 2013-14, when he appeared in two games for the Hurricanes. Since then, he’s been in the KHL.
