Tonight, we’ll be finishing off the long holiday weekend with a tense Game 5 in the NHL’s Western Conference Finals in the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. While we’re waiting on game-time, let’s check out some of the notable headlines everyone’s talking about right now.

Ben Bishop, G, Tampa Bay Lightning: Two days after tying the Eastern Conference Finals series on a stellar 5-1 win, the Rangers laid an egg at home and put themselves on the brink of elimination.
Bishop put up 26 saves in the 2-0 shutout at the Garden, while Steven Stamkos managed a goal and an assist. This was Bishop’s second shutout of these playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Rangers went 0-4 on the power play, blowing chance after chance to put the puck in the net.
The Lightning are now up 3-2 on the suddenly flat Rangers, and can close out the series with a win tomorrow night at Amalie Arena.

We got an update on the Blackhawks’ Trevor van Riemsdyk yesterday. He didn’t travel with the team to Anaheim and thus won’t be playing in tonight’s game against the Ducks. He’s fighting off a wrist injury.
Although he won’t be active for the pivotal Game 5 this evening, van Riemsdyk has a decent chance to play in the series. If he can get back on the ice, he’ll be a depth defender for Chicago.

NHL Daily Schedule: Here’s a look at the upcoming games on the NHL schedule, including the start times and TV networks where you can catch each matchup.
