The Anaheim Ducks can book their ticket to the Cup finals for the first time since winning it all back in 2007 and with the way they played for most of game five's win they look like they could very well end things tonight. The Ducks held a 4-2 lead late in third period but with the goalie pulled the Hawks scored two goals and grabbed all of the momentum heading into overtime. However, the Ducks didn't panic and prevailed after Matt Beleskey netted the overtime winner in the early stages of the extra frame and now it is the Ducks who have momentum heading into the United Center. The Ducks though know how tough the final game of a series is to win and with Chicago clawing their way back in the third and Frederik Andersen allowing some shaky goals this could be Chicago's opportunity to get back in the series and force a game seven.
The Blackhawks were lucky to even get to an overtime in game five as the Ducks let them crawl back into it but a wasted opportunity has no turned into a must win as the Hawks play with their season on the line. Chicago returns home where they have been very strong overt he years and even more so in the postseason and while they need to win the next two games to keep their Cup aspirations alive they need to focus and take things one game at a time. Chicago is a very good team that to me overmatch the Ducks at both ends of the ice and while Anaheim may get the last laugh I don't see it happening in Chicago.
