NHL Daily Updates: Checking in on the Latest News, Daily Schedule and More
May 28, 2015
It’s been a very intense 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and we’ve got two Game 7s coming up in the conference finals to prove it. Before we get settled in for the East to do their thing tomorrow, let’s check out some of the notable headlines out there in the league. Here’s the latest.
Duncan Keith, D, Chicago Blackhawks: The Blackhawks needed to hold off Anaheim at home last night to force a decisive Game 7, and that’s exactly what they did.
Keith, posted three assists in the 5-2 victory, while teammate Patrick Kane managed a goal and an assist.
Kane played on a line with Brandon Saad and Jonathan Toews, and the matchup was very, very effective.
Game 7 will be on Saturday night at Honda Center, with the winner advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Now let’s check in on a few Islanders players, as we got some updates on them recently.
First up is Lubomir Visnovsky, who was reported earlier this week to be signing in Europe. That’s apparently not going to happen now, as he’ll remain stateside. Still, he probably won’t return to the Islanders, as they’ve got plenty of talent to fill his void.
The Isles haven’t begun talking to Anders Lee about a new contract, according to sources. Lee is a restricted free agent, and it may take until the period where he can receive other offers before the Islanders sign him.
One last note: Michael Grabner had hernia surgery recently, which was his second procedure of that type since last year.
He’ll need to try and get healthy if he wants to make any sort of impact in 2015-16.
NHL Daily Schedule: Here’s a look at the upcoming games on the NHL schedule, including the start times and TV networks where you can catch each matchup.
