The Chicago Blackhawks are once again in the Stanley Cup Finals thanks to their dominating game seven victory against the Anaheim Ducks and now they have a chance at history as they can clinch their third Cup title in six years. The Hawks stumbled into the playoffs finishing third in the Central and as such they finished behind the Bolts in the regular season standings giving Tampa home ice in this series but to Chicago it won't matter as they have been able to clinch on the road, at home, and probably anywhere else in the world. Jonathan Toews stepped up in a huge way to lead his team ti victory and he will be instrumental once again in this series as he will match up against Steven Stamkos.
The Lightning pulled off the more unlikely of the two Conference series victories as they went into MSG and blanked the Rangers in game seven and now have a chance to win their first Cup since 2004. Tampa has been a resilient bunch all playoffs long and many had them down and out against the Red Wings and Canadiens let alone the Rangers but as it stands they are the Eastern Conference champions and deserve to be here just as much as the Blackhawks. Tampa is a bit new to this whole postseason game and while they have had three rounds to iron out the kinks this is a totally new game in the Cup finals and I think the demeanor of the Hawks in this position will carry out to a game one victory for the road side.
