The Chicago Blackhawks head into game five on Saturday night looking to set up a possible Cup win on home ice in game six – something they have yet to do in their recent Cup success as they have claimed victory on the road in Philadelphia and Boston. The Hawks know full well that after this season they are likely to lose the majority of this team due to free agency and while the mainstays are in it for the long haul some of their key pieces like Andrew Shaw, Brian Bickell, and Brandon Saad could be on the way out the door regardless of how this series finishes up. The Hawks to me are the better team and while the series is tied I don't think we have seen the best from the Hawks so far in this series and with youngster Andrei Vasilevskiy likely on the docket for the rest of the series I think the Hawks have a big edge in goal.
The Lightning meanwhile look to use home ice as an extra motivator as they know full well that going back to Chicago in a 3-2 hole is a death sentence and that they have to take advantage of having possibly two more games at home. Tampa has been resilient all season and has battled through three tough opponents in Detroit, Montreal, and New York but this Hawks team is the best of the bunch and with their combination of depth, experience, offense, and defense they will be tough to slow down and in a best of three situation I will lean with Chicago every time. I think the Hawks are the play here as they take the series lead and close this out at home in six games.
