The Blackhawks look to complete a home and home sweep of the Islanders on Saturday after winning a 3-2 thriller in overtime on Friday at the Barclay’s Center.
The Islanders hope to obtain some retribution on Saturday night as they head into the United Center in Chicago to battle the Blackhawks for the second time in as many nights in what should be another battle between two of the league's best teams. The Isles played in their home opener last night dropping the puck at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn but the party was spoiled in overtime thanks to Patrick Kane who netted his second goal of the season in the Chicago victory. The Islanders need a short memory though as they will be looking to return the favour on Saturday night and with the roster they have they'll be able to make adjustments and construct a better game plan against the defending Cup champs.

The Blackhawks got their first win of the season last night and can complete the sweep tonight but they know the Isles will come back with a vengeance and that earning two points in this one will be very tough. Chicago is still among the favourites to emerge out of the Western Conference this season but they did lose some pieces throughout the off season and while it may take time before those moves are felt I think playing in a back to back situation will test their depth. It is still very early in the regular season and beating a team twice in two nights is hard to do and as such I like the Isles to return the favour and get a win on the road here against the Hawks.
