The Line: Boston Bruins -141 / Philadelphia Flyers +128 --- Over/Under: 5 See the Latest Odds
The Bruins look to win their third game in a row after dropping three straight to start the year and they catch a Flyers team coming off a home loss to the Dallas Stars in Philly last night.
The Flyers came up short in their bid to even the score with the Stars in Philadelphia last night in what was an exciting, back and forth contest, but now they need a short memory as they head into Boston looking to snap the Bruins' two game winning streak. Philadelphia is traditionally a much better team at home than on the road but if they're going to sneak into the playoffs this season they need to find a way to step up in big road spots and find ways to avoid multi game losing skids which has been a downfall of theirs in recent memory. Philly has one of the best lines in the NHL but beyond their top group they are a bit thin and in games like this against a Bruins team looking to claw their way back into the race in the Atlantic the Flyers are often listed as big under dogs.

The Bruins have seemingly put away their slow start and are trending upwards after back to back wins and they can reach the .500 mark with a victory here against Philadelphia. Boston is stuck in a tough division with playoff hopesfuls from Montreal, Tampa Bay, and Detroit and while they could very well unseat one of those three in a bid for an automatic playoff spot they are likely in the fold with the Ottawa Senators competing for a wild card spot and even then they might have trouble as there are some good teams sitting in the Metro as well. The Bruins are the favourites here but the line could change once the goaltenders are confirmed as Neuvirth could tip the scales a little closer to the Flyers as he has been sharp so far this season. Nonetheless, this is Boston's game to lose and I think they skate away with the victory.
