TV:

The Canadiens look to get back in the win column after suffering their first loss of the season in Vancouver on Tuesday night as they head into Edmonton to battle the Oilers.

The Montreal Canadiens lasted almost three full weeks before losing their first game of the season as they were winning games in convincing fashion against some of the league's best before getting dealt a dose of reality on Tuesday against the Canucks. The Habs are without question one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference as Carey Price could lead a junior team to the playoffs with the way he has been playing in the crease and with some great role players and a hint of fire power they are in a nice spot this season. However, they could use another top four defenseman and a scoring winger to play on the second line is certainly on Marc Bergevin's list as they will likely make a splash around the trade deadline if not before hand. Price is expected to get the start as he will go up against Cam Talbot for Edmonton.

The Oilers meanwhile have dropped back to back games after looking as though they were going to turn things around but they lost to a Kings team in controversial fashion and in Minnesota against one of the best home teams in hockey. Edmonton has certainly come a long way since even the end of last season where they were getting shelled by also rans and it looks as though the culture change is sinking in as they are way more competitive on a nightly basis and aren't getting blown out of any arenas. Edmonton's schedule continues to stay tough as they welcome in the Canadiens but the Oilers actually fare pretty well against Montreal in their rare match ups and for what it is worth as a home dog they are definitely worth a shot.

You seriously have no clue what you're talking about. The Habs are the highest scoring team in the NHL with 36 goals in 10 games. No, they do not need to get a 2nd line winger. There are 3 lines that are currently clicking efficiently and the 2nd line is not one of them. The 3rd line has DOUBLE the shooting percentage of the second line while having significantly less shots attempts and scoring chances. That means they're getting lucky and the second line has been quite unlucky.

The Habs have also got a very fine top 4 defence. Alexi Emelin has been stellar to start the season and Petry is really good, too.
