Ben Lovejoy, D, Pittsburgh Penguins: Coach Dan Bylsma made his return to Consol Energy Center last night, but was thwarted by his former team in a 4-3 Penguins win. Lovejoy bagged a goal and an assist in this one, as did winger Patric Hornqvist.
Pittsburgh started out the season with three straight losses, but has righted the ship and won six of the past seven. They currently stand at 6-4-0. As for the Sabres, they fall to 3-7-0.

Colton Parayko, D, St. Louis Blues: Parayko scored something of a fluke goal last night against the Ducks at Scottrade Center, when his shot bounced off the boards and off the skate of Ducks goalie Frederik Anderson. The score would end up being the game-winner, as St. Louis took it 2-1.
Parayko leads all defensemen with four goals thus far. He’s helped the Blues get to 7-2-1 on the year. The Ducks are flailing at 1-7-2.

Jamie Benn, LW, Dallas Stars: Benn got to play the hero last night, bagging the game-winning goal in overtime to put the Stars over the top against the Canucks 4-3. Patrick Sharp also scored twice in the victory. Dallas had trailed 3-1 early in the third.
Benn leads the league with 17 points. His team is currently 8-2-0 on the season.
