NHL fans will have to choose between trick or treating tonight and checking out a full slate of 10 games around the league. It’ll be a tough choice, as there are some great matchups out there. That said, let’s check out our daily headlines.

Ryan O’Reilly, C, Buffalo Sabres: The Sabres posted a dominant win last night at First Niagara Center against the Flyers. O’Reilly logged a goal and two assists in the 3-1 victory, and he’s now got four goals on the year.
Linus Ullmark put up 27 saves here to get his first NHL win. As for No. 2 overall pick Jack Eichel, he managed a goal as well; his fourth of the season.

Mats Zuccarello, RW, New York Rangers: Zuccarello bagged his first career NHL hat trick last night against the Maple Leafs, helping his team to a 3-1 win at Madison Square Garden. He scored once in the first and twice in the third.
Zuccarello now has seven goals on the season, which leads the team. Rick Nash and Derick Brassard posted assists on each goal. The Rangers are now 7-2-2 on the year.

Mikko Koivu, C, Minnesota Wild: The Wild got off to a quick start last night against the defending champion Blackhawks at Xcel Energy Center, and they needed every bit of it. Minnesota would squeak by on a 5-4 result, with Koivu posting assists on three goals. Jason Zucker managed a score and a helper of his own.
The Wild are off to a nice start thus far with a 7-2-1 record. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are stumbling at 6-5-0.

Dale Weise, RW, Montreal Canadiens: Another player scored his first NHL hat trick last night. That player was the Canadiens’ Dale Weise, whose effort helped Montreal to a 6-2 win over the Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Paul Byron helped out with a goal and an assist, while Mike Condon logged 30 saves on 32 shots.
Montreal is back in the win column and humming along nicely at 10-2-0 thus far. As for Calgary, they’re just 2-8-1.
