NHL Daily Updates: Checking in on the Latest News, Daily Schedule and More
November 3, 2015
There wasn’t a whole lot going on in the NHL last night, but we’ve got nine matchups to look forward to in the next several hours. That said, let’s check out our daily dose of headlines from around the league.
James Reimer, G, Toronto Maple Leafs: Reimer was on point yesterday for the Leafs, hauling in 43 saves on 44 shots in the 4-1 victory over the Stars at Air Canada Centre.
Joffrey Lupul (two goals; assist) and Brad Boyes (goal; assist) were the stars on the offensive end. Lupul has five goals in just 11 games so far.
This was the Leafs’ first home victory this year. They stand at 2-7-2. The Stars had previously won three games coming into this one, but will have to go to 9-3-0 on the year.

Patrick Kane, RW, Chicago Blackhawks: Last night at United Center, the Blackhawks were without Duncan Keith and Marian Hossa. That didn’t matter much, though, as Kane scored and tallied an assist in the 4-2 victory.
Corey Crawford would add 33 saves in the win, during which Chicago was trailing 2-1 at the beginning of the third. They move to 7-5-0 with this victory. Crawford himself is 6-3-0 on the year.
The Kings are 7-4-0 overall.
Bo Horvat, C, Vancouver Canucks: Horvat posted a strong game last night against the Flyers at Rogers Arena. He put up a goal and an assist in the 4-1 victory. Teammate Jake Virtanen scored his first NHL goal in the win, while Ryan Miller logged 27 saves overall.
The Canucks have points in five straight games, bringing their season record to 6-2-4. The Flyers continue to flail and have lost four in a row.
