The Flames had tied the score 3-3 in the third before fading with Mark Giordano, Sam Bennett and Johnny Gaudreau doing the scoring with Karri Ramo charged with five goals on 41 shots to take the loss.

The slumping Vancouver Canucks picked up a 4-3 win at the Gila River Arena on Friday to earn their second victory in seven contests while the Arizona Coyotes have dropped three in a row on home ice. The Canucks jumped on the Coyotes in the first period with Alexandre Burrows, Brendan Gaunce and Jared McCann scoring while Daniel Sedin also lit the lamp to make a winner of Richard Bachman who recorded 29 stops for the victory. Goaltending cost the Yotes with Mike Smith allowing two goals in the first 4:26 on three shots before Anders Linbeck replaced him. Max Domni, Steve Downie scored in the second and Tobias Rieder with 2:21 and Linbeck pulled but Arizona never found the equalizer.
