The Bridgestone Arena and the Nashville Predators host the Ottawa Senators.
PNC Arena has not been kind to the Ottawa Senators through the years and continued to be in a 3-2, overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes to fall to 0-11-2 at Raleigh since 2007. The Senators let this one get away with Jeff Skinner scored with under four seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime. Justin Faulk also scored in regulation before Jordan Staal lit the lamp in the extra session to win it to make Cam Ward’s 19 stops a winning effort. Chris Weideman scored his first NHL goal and Alex Chasson also scored for the Senators but Andrew Hammond’s monster 43 save performance was still not enough.

The Nashville Predators offense stalled in a 4-0 loss to the St Louis Blues at the Bridgestone Arena for their first regulation loss at home. The Predators squandered too many power opportunities with an 0-5 performance with the man advantage while St Louis was two for three on the PP. Netminder Pekka Rinne could have used the support as this wasn’t his finest hour with all four goals allowed on 28 shots with the Preds dropping to 8-3-2. The balanced Blues attack received goals from Colton Parayko, Alexander Steen, Alex Pietrangelo and Scottie Upshall while Scott Gomez posted two helpers to make a winner of Jake Allen and his 45 saves.
The Senators are 4-0 in their last 4 Tuesday games and the under is 4-0 in Senators last 4 road games while going 4-1 in Senators last 5 overall. The Predators are 0-4 in their last 4 games following a loss of 3 or more goals and the over is 2-0-2 in Predators last 4 vs. Atlantic while the Predators are 6-1 in their last 7 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game. The under is 4-0-2 in the last 6 meetings in Nashville and the road team is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings. I’m still waiting for goalies but the trends favor the under…
