The Columbus Blue Jackets look for a road win against the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.
The Columbus Blue Jacks finished off their home stand with a 3-1 win versus the St Louis Blues for their third straight victory. The Blue Jackets improved to 7-12-0 after a dreadful eight game slide to begin the year. Brandon Saad was the Blue Jackets offensive star with a pair of tallies including an empty netter while Cody Goloubef also lit the lamp to make a winner of Sergei Bobrovsky and his 20 stop performance. The Blues appeared to be heading for a big night when Kevin Shattenkirk opened the scoring just 7 ½ minutes in after the drop of the puck but the offense stalled and Brian Elliott’s 35 save effort went for naught.
