The Line: St. Louis Blues -205 / Buffalo Sabres +184 --- Over/Under: 5 See the Latest Odds
The Blues look to get back in the win column on Thursday night as they welcome Jack Eichel and the Sabres to the Scottrade Center.
The Buffalo Sabres have had an up and down start to the season but are likely right in where many expected them to be this season as they sit a game under .500 and in second to last in the Atlantic division. The Sabres have a ways to go before they will be a playoff contender but they have a great core of young players and another bounce in the lottery could see them with another big piece in this year's draft making the future even brighter. One spot though where they need an immediate upgrade is in goal as Chad Johnson has been suspect and I know Robin Lehner is on the roster and will be back soon but there are some question marks surrounding whether or not he is the answer anyways. Johnson will get the start as he will go up against Jake Allen.

The Blues meanwhile are light years ahead of where the Sabres are at the moment and that is reflected in the line in this one as St. Louis is up over the -200 mark. St. Louis has had some injuries to deal with so far this season but they have looked the part of a division contender in the impressive Central and if they can get continued production from their secondary pieces they will be a tough team to stop. Jake Allen has really turned things around since his slow start and now looks like an option to contend for the Vezina as he is playing very well right now. St. Louis should have no trouble here getting past the Sabres and a regulation play is the best bet.
