The Blackhawks look to complete the Alberta sweep with a win in Calgary on Friday while the Flames desperately need to get rolling in the right direction.
The Chicago Blackhawks scored an overtime victory against the Oilers on Wednesday night in what was a very entertaining contest and one that the home side likely wanted to have back but the Hawks are the defending champs for a reason as they always seem to find ways to win hockey games. The Hawks head into Calgary on Friday night looking to win their fourth game in a row and 12th of the season as they jockey for position in the Central division and they will turn to Scott Darling to do so as he will match up against Karri Ramo. The Hawks are just 3-5 on the road this season while the Flames are a mediocre 4-5 at the Saddledome.

The Flames sit second to last in the Pacific division with 15 points through 20 games and only their bitter rivals from Edmonton have a poorer record than Calgary but they are more than capable of turning things around as we saw last year and we could very well see them in the playoffs come April. Calgary has a ton of young talent on their roster and are set for some very competitive teams over the next handful of years but we could be seeing a bit of a regression before moving forward as the Flames overachieved last season and while they aren't as bad as they have been lately they should be around the .500 mark overall. Chicago should get the win here as they're the better team and Darling gives us a nice price here.
