NHL Daily Updates: Checking in on the Latest News, Daily Schedule and More
November 25, 2015
We’ve got a packed 13-game set coming up in the NHL tonight before the league goes dark tomorrow for the Thanksgiving holiday. While we’re waiting on those games, let’s check out some of the players and stats in the news right now.
Jean-Gabriel Pageau, C, Ottawa Senators: If you like offensive hockey with lots of scoring, yesterday’s Senators-Stars game was for you. Pageau scored twice and added an assist to power his team to a 7-4 win in Dallas, which ended the Stars’ five-game win streak.
Mark Stone also had a goal and two assists here, while Jamie Benn put up two goals and an assist on the other side. Benn leads the league with 16 goals. Craig Anderson made 33 saves for the Sens.
Ottawa has won three in a row and they’re 11-5-5 overall. Dallas is 17-5-0 thus far.

Ryan Getzlaf, C, Anaheim Ducks: Getzlaf was in a giving mood last night. He came up with a whopping five assists (which matches a franchise record) in a 5-3 win over the Flames.
Corey Perry and Rickard Rakell each had two goals; Perry also added an assist.
The Ducks were down 3-2 going into the third period but were able to score on a Rakell goal at 1:52.
When Getzlaf has at least one point, the Ducks are undefeated this year.
The Blackhawks’ Teuvo Teravainen was able to skate yesterday and is reportedly getting close to a return to the ice.
That said, Teravainen most likely won’t get back into the lineup until this weekend. The defending champs get the Ducks and Kings then.
