The Penguins look to keep rolling and end their recent slump against the Penguins as the teams meet up in Columbus on Friday.
The Penguins head into Ohio on Friday looking to win their second straight and their seventh in their last 10 overall but they’ll need a total team effort against the Jackets who have had Pittsburgh’s number of late. The Pens have had a tumultuous start to the season as they were very inconsistent and we have yet to see Sidney Crosby find his groove, but after Evgeni Malkin called out the team for their futility they have turned things up and look like a contender once again. The Pens will go with Marc-Andre Fleury as he will go up against Sergei Bobrovsky.

The Blue Jackets gave the Pens a scare in the playoffs two years ago and since then they have given the Penguins fits including a game earlier this season in which the Blue Jackets won as seemingly something about playing one of the game’s best brings out the best of their own. Columbus hasn’t been good this season and sit in last place in the Atlantic division with just nine wins in 23 games and while there is a ton of hockey left to be played the Jackets look like they are in a position to land a top draft pick. As for tonight, they should be able to keep it close but in the end the Pens are the better team and should get the win.
