The Los Angeles Kings will be looking to get back in the win column after suffering a 2-1 shootout defeat versus the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Wednesday night. The Lightning have had trouble lighting the lamp this season thus far but their defense did the trick versus the Kings. Tyler Johnson scored in regulation for TB with Valtteri Filppula adding the decisive goal in the SO to make a winner of Ben Bishop’s 37 stops as the Lightning improved to 11-9-3. Los Angeles saw Milan Lucic score their lone goal but Jonathan Quick needed more help with a 29 save performance not enough to prevent the Kings from falling to 13-8-1.
The over is 5-0 in Blackhawks last 5 vs. a team with a winning record and is 6-1 in Blackhawks last 7 road games while the Blackhawks are 5-1 in their last 6 Saturday games. The under is 1-0-3 in Kings last 4 games playing on 2 days rest and the Kings are 5-0 in their last 5 Saturday games while the over is 2-0-2 in Kings last 4 Saturday games. The over is 5-0-2 in the last 7 meetings in Los Angeles and is 9-1-2 in the last 12 meetings while the Blackhawks are 5-2 in the last 7 meetings. The trends favor Chicago and the over but I need to see goalies first…
