The Montreal Canadiens collide with the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Bell Centre in Tuesday action.
The Columbus Blue Jackets weren’t expected to pose much of a threat to the St Louis Blues in Saturday’s match up at the Scottrade Center but they but up a fight before falling 3-1. Columbus was tied heading to the final frame on a goal from Ryan Johansen but the offense was silent otherwise with Sergei Bobrovsky and the defense left on their own. However that wasn’t enough with Bobrovsky giving up two goals on 31 shots that saw his team fall to 10-15-0. St Louis received goals from Vladirmir Tarasenko and Scottie Upshall with Alexander Steen adding an empty netter with under a minute left to make a winner of Jake Allen and his 24 saves.

The Montreal Canadiens squandered a 2-0 lead on the way to a 3-2, overtime defeat at the hands of the visiting New Jersey Devils Saturday to send the Bell Centre crowd away in disappointment. The Habs received both goals from Alex Galchenyuk but the offense couldn’t do anymore damage and Mike Condon’s 28 stops wasn’t enough to extend the Canadiens winning streak to five games. The Devils offense came fromPatrik Elias, Kyle Palmieri with just 22 seconds remaining in regulation to send this to OT where John Moore won it with 2:29 remaining in the extra session. Cory Schneider recorded 30 saves to lift New Jersey to 12-9-2.
The under is 4-0 in Blue Jackets last 4 road games and the Blue Jackets are 0-4 in their last 4 vs. Atlantic while the under is 7-0 in Blue Jackets last 7 vs. Eastern Conference. The over is 5-0-2 in Canadiens last 7 vs. Eastern Conference and is 4-0-2 in Canadiens last 6 vs. Metropolitan while the Canadiens are 22-5 in their last 27 vs. Metropolitan. The Blue Jackets are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings and the road team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings while the under is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings in Montreal. The trends favor Montreal and the under but I need to see goalies…
