The Minnesota Wild pay a visit to the Gila River Arena to take on the Arizona Coyotes.
The Minnesota Wild will be looking to get back to winning after a 2-1, overtime loss at the Pepsi Center versus the Colorado Avalanche. John Mitchell was the Avs offensive hero with his tally at 3:35 of the extra session that lifted Colorado to 12-15-1. Tyson Barre scored in regulation and Semyon Varlamov was strong between the pipes with a 19 save performance to get the victory. The Wild received a third period tally off the stick of Zach Parise but Varlamov would not get beat again. Darcy Kuemper also played a strong game in defeat with 18 stops but Minnesota still fell to 14-7-5 despite facing a team they had dominated in the past.

The struggling St Louis Blues hadn’t been lighting up the scoreboard before finally finding the scoring touch in a 4-1 win against the Arizona Coyotes at the Scottrade Center on Tuesday night. The Blues were balanced on the attack with Alexander Steen and Kevin Shattenkirk each scored and logged an assist while David Backes and Vladimir Tarasenko also found the back of the net to make Jake Allen’s 22 stop effort stand up and up the Blues record to 16-8-4 and Allen’s to 5-0-0 against the Yotes in his career. Arizona’s lone goal came off the stick of Steve Downs which gave his team the lead but Mike Smith was charged with three goals on 21 shots as Arizona suffered their 5th consecutive defeat.
The under is 4-0 in Wild last 4 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game and is 4-0-1 in Wild last 5 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game while going 4-0 in Wild last 4 overall. The Coyotes are 4-0 in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and the over is 5-0 in Coyotes last 5 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game while the Coyotes are 1-10 in their last 11 games playing on 2 days rest. The Wild are 6-0 in the last 6 meetings and are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Arizona while the over is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings in Arizona. Still waiting for goalies but lean Minnesota right now…
