The Islanders and Devils meet up in Brooklyn on Sunday as the visitors aim to win back to back games while the home side can push their lead on New Jersey in the division to seven with a victory.
The New Jersey Devils head into New York to battle the Islanders on Sunday and can push their mark to 7-2-1 in their last 10 contests and they will have to lean on Cory Schneider to get it done. New Jersey has surprised some people with how well they have played this season as many expected they would be bottom feeders but through 30 games they are five games above .500 and look like a group that can challenge for a playoff spot. Schneider will get the call as he will face off against Thomas Greiss who has filled in nicely when called upon this season for the Isles. New Jersey is 8-4-1 this season while the Islanders are 10-4-2 at home.

The Isles have started to heat up and are currently on a 7-1-2 stretch that has propelled them back into the mix in the Metro division as they tr5ail the Capitals by just three points for top spot. New York is quietly 17-8-5 this season and after a bit of a speed bump at the end of October and early November they are on the right track and look to be among the most dangerous teams in the Eastern Conference and could very well unseat the Rangers and Capitals as favourites to win the division. With New York playing very well, Thomas Greiss having a nice season, and Schneider starting for the Devils I don't see how this game won't come in under the number and that is where I suggest you go here.
