Spooner scored twice, and Tuukka Rask managed 26 saves in the win. Patrice Bergeron helped out with two assists and three shots on goal.
The Bruins have won nine in a row at home against the Panthers in a span of over four years. They’re 16-9-3 on the season.

Jake Allen, G, St. Louis Blues: Allen put up a shutout yesterday against the Stars at Scottrade Center. He made 26 saves, and was helped out on the offensive side by David Backes, who had a goal and an assist in the 3-0 win.
It was Allen’s fourth shutout this season, and the ninth of his career. Backes now has 26 game-winning goals in his tenure, and the Blues are 17-9-4.
Darcy Kuemper, G, Minnesota Wild: Yesterday’s late game featured another shutout, this one by Kuemper. He logged 25 saves in a 2-0 victory for the Wild over the Sharks in San Jose.
Zach Parise had a goal and an assist here, helping to solve the Sharks’ Martin Jones, who had 28 saves on 29 shots.
The Wild are now 15-7-6 on the year and were just 1-9-1 in their prior 11 games at San Jose.
Johnny Gaudreau, LW, Calgary Flames: The Flames blew a 4-1 lead over the Rangers, but still were able to hold on for the overtime win last night at Scotiabank Saddledome. Gaudreau had two goals and an assist, while T.J. Brodie bagged the game-winnner in the overtime period 2:09 in.
Calgary has won five straight games, and nine in a row at home. That’s one shy of a franchise record for them.
