The Line: Boston Bruins / Edmonton Oilers --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Edmonton Oilers make the long trip to TD Garden to face the Boston Bruins.
If you told the Edmonton Oilers they would score seven times versus the visiting Rangers I’m sure they would think they would think they won easily but unfortunately New York still made the Oilers sweat in a 7-5 decision. Lauri Korpikoski logged a hat trick and Taylor scored twice but Anders Nilsson was charged with five goals on 34 shots to still get the win. New York received a pair of goals from Derick Brassard with Chis Kreider, Rick Nash and Mats Zuccarello but Henrik Lundqvist allowed five goals and was replaced in the third with Antti Raanta who gave up a goal on three shots.

The Boston Bruins defeated the Florida Panthers at home for the 9th consecutive time by a 3-1 count on Saturday for back to back victories. Ryan Spooner lit the lamp twice and Brad Marchand added an empty net tally with 1:23 left to secure the win. Tuukka Rask was outstanding between the pipes with a 26 save performance as the Bruins raised their record to 16-9-3 and Rask upped his record to 14-2-1 against the Panthers. Florida’s lone goal came off the stick of Reilly Smith in the third period but Roberto Luongo couldn’t make it stand up with two goals given up on 24 shots as the Panthers fell to 14-12-4 and are now three points behind Boston in the Atlantic.
The under is 5-0 in Oilers last 5 Monday games and the Oilers are 0-4 in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a losing home record while going 4-0 in their last 4 games following a win. The under is 4-0 in Bruins last 4 overall and the over is 4-1-1 in Bruins last 6 Monday games while the Bruins are 4-1 in their last 5 home games. The Oilers are 0-8 in the last 8 meetings in Boston and the home team is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings while Edmonton are 3-13 in the last 16 meetings. I’m leaning Boston in some form but I’m waiting for goalies…
