The Toronto Maple Leafs await a visit from the San Jose Sharks in Thursday action.
The San Jose Sharks continued to have success on the road as they shut down the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 Tuesday to kick off a five game road swing on a positive note while putting an end to a dreadful six game slide. Joe Pavelski led the Sharks offense with a goal and a helper while Patrick Marleau and Dainius Zubrus also lit the lamp to make Martin Jones and his 26 saves a winner that lifted San Jose to 15-14-1. The Sharks improved to 11-5-1 away from home ice. The Canadiens have been in a bit of a funk lately as they fell to 20-9-3 overall but are on a 2-4-1 streak. Dale Weise supplied the lone goal for the Habs but Dustin Tokarski allowed all three goals on 12 shots before Mike Condon came on to stop all six shots he saw.
