The Ducks look to get back in the win column and get their offense rolling in the process as they head into MSG to battle the New York Rangers.
The Anaheim Ducks have had an awful start to the season and things don't appear to be getting any better as they continue their road trip in the Big Apple on Wednesday in their final show down before the Christmas break. The Ducks are a measly 12-15-5 this season and while that still somehow has them in the fold in the Pacific division thanks to a lackluster season from most involved, they have a pathetic offense right now and haven't been able to generate scoring all season. Luckily, the Ducks have been able to play sufficiently well in the defensive zone and between the pipes as both John Gibson and Frederik Andersen have looked good but without goals coming at the other end it is very tough to win hockey games and the Ducks need to rectify that in a hurry if they want to save their season.

The Rangers meanwhile have hit a bit of a speed bump and head into tonight's game looking to snap a three game losing skid and a 2-6-1 mark in their last 10 which has dropped them into third place in the Metro division. New York has a talented roster and while they have had to deal with some injuries this season they are by no means short handed right now and should be doing better than they have been over the last two weeks. The Blue Shirts are in a nice spot here though as the Ducks haven't been able to score on anybody this season which should be a confidence booster for the New York blue line that has struggled in recent games and will give Henrik Lundqvist a little more to work with. While I think New York gets the win the better play is the total and with these goalies going at it I think we see a low scoring affair.
