The Columbus Blue Jackets and Nationwide Arena welcome a visit from the Dallas Stars Tuesday.
For those that are waiting for the Dallas Stars to slump, the wait continues following a 3-0 victory versus the St Louis Blues at American Airlines Center on Sunday. Solid offense and defense has been the calling card of this team and was once again with Jamie Benn and Patrick Sharp scoring and logging assists with Cody Eakin also lighting the lamp. Kari Lehtonen was strong between the pipes with 22 saves for his third shutout of the season and 33rd of his career to help the Stars improve to 27-7-3. For St Louis, Brian Elliot was on his own with all three goals allowed on 38 shots with the Blues falling to 22-12-4.

The Florida Panthers became the top team in the Atlantic with a 3-2 victory versus the Columbus Blue Jackets Sunday night at the BB&T Center. The surging Panthers improved to 20-12-4 with win number six in a row with Aleksander Barkov scoring twice while Aaron Ekblad scored and Jonathan Huberdeau posted a pair of helpers. Roberto Luongo recorded 16 stops to pick up the victory. The Blue Jackets received goals from Cam Atkinson and Brandon Saad but Curtis McElhinney was charged with all three goals on 32 shots as Columbus fell to 13-22-3 on the season and are already falling out of postseason contention.
The Stars are 7-1 in their last 8 games playing on 1 days rest and the under is 6-1 in Stars last 7 games following a win while the Stars are 22-5 in their last 27 vs. Eastern Conference. The Blue Jackets are 0-5 in their last 5 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days and the over is 3-0-1 in Blue Jackets last 4 vs. Western Conference while the under is 5-0-1 in Blue Jackets last 6 home games. The over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings and is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Columbus while the road team is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings. I am looking at Dallas or the over until I see who is in net….
