The Sharks look to shake off a loss at home against he Avalanche in their last outing as they welcome the Flyers to town on Wednesday night.
The Philadelphia Flyers head into San Jose on Wednesday looking to improve their standing in the Metro division as they currently hold down the sixth seed and are seven points back of the Rangers for third place. The Flyers haven’t been overly consistent this season but at the same time they haven’t had too many blips on the radar either as they have kind of coasted through the first 35 games of the schedule and are 15-13-7 in those contests which has them in the mix in the wild card and division playoff races. The Flyers weren’t really expected to do a whole lot this season and are right around where they should be but a win here on the road against the Sharks could propel them into that next group and possibly lead to a playoff run.
USA TODAY Sports
The Sharks continue to be the most frustrating team to watch and handicap as they always seem to do the opposite of what we anticipate. San Jose is a measly 4-10 at home this season which is the worst record in the league yet somehow they piece it together on the road against some quality opponents and throw out perception completely out of whack. The Sharks continue to be one of those fade your instinct type of teams and in this case I am going to do the same as I figure they should be able to take down the Flyers at home but as such I am going the other way.
