The Ottawa Senators head to the Windy City to challenge the Chicago Blackhawks Sunday.
The New Jersey Devils defense dominated the Ottawa Senators 3-0 Wednesday night at the Canadian Tire Centre and have now won three straight after downing the Stars on Saturday to up their record to 20-14-5. Mike Cammalleri was the Devils offensive star with a pair of tallies while Lee Stempniak scored an empty netter with just under 16 seconds remaining in regulation. Cory Schneider brushed aside all 36 shots for his third shutout of the season and number 20 in his career. The Chicago Blackhawks have been one of the best teams in the game for years and my guess is this season will be another good one. It was Thursday as the Blackhawks pulled out a 4-3, overtime win versus the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center. Jonathan Toews scored with 1:31 left in the extra session with Patrick Kane, Andrew Dejardins and Artem Anisimov also lighting the lamp. Scott Darling recorded 27 saves to lead the Blackhawks to a 22-13-4 mark. The Avalanche received goals from Erik Johnson, Carl Soderberg and Cody McLeod while Semyon Varlamov absorbed the loss with all four goals allowed on 43 shots.
The over is 4-0 in Senators last 4 vs. Central and the Senators are 0-6 in their last 6 road games while going 1-7 in their last 8 Sunday games. The Blackhawks are 4-0 in their last 4 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game and are 6-1 in their last 7 vs. Atlantic while the under is 5-1-2 in Blackhawks last 8 vs. Atlantic. The Senators are 0-6 in the last 6 meetings in Chicago and the home team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings while the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. Waiting for goalies and injuries and will have a pick up a few hours before gametime…
