The Florida Panthers head to the First Niagara Center to face Atlantic rival the Buffalo Sabres.
It hasn’t been a good thing to see the Florida Panthers if you are an opposing fan as the red hot Panthers are setting records with their winning ways. The Panthers were at it again Sunday with a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Wild to record their franchise high 9th consecutive victory at the BB&T Center. Jaromir Jagr was the offensive star with both goals with Dmitry Kulikov assisting on both while Al Montoya recorded a monster 39 saves to lift the Panthers to 23-12-4. Jason Zucker lit the lamp for Minnesota but Devan Dubnyk’s 26 save performance wasn’t enough to keep the Wild from dropping to 20-11-7.

The Detroit Red Wings ended a three game slide at the expense of the Buffalo Sabres by a 4-3 count on Sunday at the First Niagara Center. Tomas Tater scored the game winner with just under three minutes remaining in regulation while Riley Sheahan, Brad Richards and Henrik Zetterberg also scored. Chad Johnson absorbed the loss with all four goals allowed on 23 shots as Buffalofell to 15-20-4.
The Panthers are 7-0 in their last 7 vs. Eastern Conference and are 4-0 in their last 4 games playing on 1 days rest while Florida are 4-0 in their last 4 after scoring 2 goals or less in their previous game. The under is 6-0-1 in Sabres last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and is 9-2-5 in Sabres last 16 home games while the over is 4-1-1 in Sabres last 6 games playing on 2 days rest. Florida has done well in this match up and I favor them until goalie confirmation…
